Cherin & Yelsky’s creditor’s rights and bankruptcy department has extensive experience representing secured creditors in consumer and commercial bankruptcy cases under Chapters 7, 11, and 13.

The firm handles specialized matters such as representation of secured creditors and commercial lessors in automatic stay litigation under 11 U.S.C. § 362, residential mortgage bankruptcies, loss mitigation representation, representation of plaintiffs and defendants in adversary proceedings filed by the Trustees’ avoidance powers, nondischargeability litigation, preferences, fraudulent transfers, and other avoidance action matters including representation of plaintiffs and defendants in general litigation pending in the Bankruptcy Court and California State Courts. The members of the firm also have appellate experience before the 9TH Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, District Courts in California, and the 9TH Circuit Court of Appeal.
